😢Terrified, chased & abused .... ABANDONED!!
Meet Christie, I eventually caught up with her this afternoon hiding in the Church gardens. I was alerted of her being chased off as she looked for food this morning.☹️

Christie was very frightened but soon warmed up (she is very sweet) then we set off for the vet. Her bloods are clear and has brightened up in just a couple of hrs but she is underweight. She was also very sick (fish bones, gravel & grass) The vet found no obstructions but she is under observation. Christie has eaten a small amount and is drinking normally now.💗

Christie is believed to be around 2 years old, she is medium sized and looks very Beagle/ pointer like.😘

We have NO SPACE for such emergencies as we are full to the very limit with healthy dogs looking for their forever homes so please share our posts and help our healthy babies find their forever homes, it is imperative we have space to help the many street dogs just like Christie.💗

We have purchased a new plastic kennel, tarpaulins for shade and settled Christie into the small run for now. She curled up on the floor next to her blankets.. Christie had no idea what they were for but after a little help she snuggled into her blankets and went to sleep.💗💗

Zeke ~meaning “God Strengthens“. Born approximately July 2016. Zeke has been trained in obedience, a happy loving dog who loves to run and play with big toys. Zeke will take his bowl of food to a place he likes to eat, usually away from his kennel friend Luna. He has a beautiful brindle coat that shines constantly. Zeke loves people he is very affectionate & will cuddle up as close as he can, he is great with all female dogs he can get worried by some male dogs. Zeke weighs approximately 24 kilos, he is neutered, microchipped & his health book is up to date. Zeke is a striking young male with a wonderful character. Zeke needs his forever home & forever family where he can get lots of those cuddles he loves.

Alfie eye surgery

* Alfie update *

Beautiful loving Alfie born with one eye has had his surgery today.With no eye his eye lashes were inverted causing him discomfort and constant infection. The inner eye lids were removed and the eye closed.Alfie will take antibiotics & pain relief for the next few days.

Alfie is recovering well although he is still a little confused this evening.

I would love to see Alfie homed in a loving home, he is adorable and his missing eye has never stopped him, running, playing or chasing his ball.

Alfie is loving, quiet, he loves attention/cuddles and is the happiest pup especially at meal times. He will train easily as he is intelligent & loves a treat. Please consider Alfie for adoption, he is a sweetheart.

Update 28 June 2019: Alfie is healing well and hasn't seemed to notice he has had surgery. Eating, playing and still loving a cuddle. No offers of foster or adoption yet, I do hope someone falls in love with him soon. Please share he deserves so much more than shelter life

New Boy Hickory

Hickory ~ our latest addtion arrived at the shelter limping and rather thin. He has been for a check up at the vets and will be going for an x-ray to verify a suspected dislocated hip.

Alben ~ born approximately July 2016. Alben is a loving, playful boy who loves to play fetch. He has an amazing white coat and dark eyes – he’s a stunning young boy inside and out. Alben is of medium size with a muscular and heavy built. Alben was found abandoned as a young puppy at the gates of the shelter, with his brother, Zeke and sister, Thumbelina, who has since found a home in the UK.
