Such A Little Cutie!

Super adorable Brynn was welcomed to Compassion For Greek Paws today. He is approximately 7 weeks old so born around 12 March 2020. He is a mixed breed and will probably grow to be a large dog. He has the most beautiful coat, a gorgeous brown with white paws and white on his chest. He was run over by a car and has scraped the skin under his front legs and chest. His mother and a sibling with a white coat have been seen near to where Brynn was found.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Brynn when he is ready please contact us, thank you.

News

The second leg of the shelter roof is finished the workmanship is second to non, we are very very pleased with the result. HUGE thank you to Friends of the Strays of Greece for their amazing donations to keep the roof going up ! We have 5 more pens to cover, 2 difficult ones as they are back to back so we need to figure out where the water will run off. Work will start again, 'third leg' as soon as the builder can get back to us.

Spring clean is still keeping us on our toes, cleaning the hay after such a long winter (it is still cold at night) is a task and a half! Lianta has worked 2 solid 8 hour days, cleaning the kennels. It's no easy task believe me. I think there are another 5-6 kennels that need a deep clean. After that the shelter will be sprayed and as soon as we have at least a week of SUN and warm weather we will start building brick kennels for those who still only have plastic, then we can white wash which not only looks better it also removes any unwanted bacteria that could be hanging around.

Billie & Luz are progressing wonderfully well in rehab, we have great updates and wish the girls a full and happy life in their future. Thank you Sarah for all your hard work making sure the girls found the right training and for their transportation.

I would like to say a very big thank you to Hubby who has gone above and beyond any expectation re the shelter. He has been helping most days, the dogs LOVE him, even Joy who is not always keen on new faces, she cant wait to get out for a cuddle!! (Hubby has been off work due to lock down). Lucky for us he likes to keep moving. Feeding, cleaning, vet runs, picking up food, fixing. We will sure miss him when he has to go back to work!!

Thank you again for your continued support during very uncertain times.💖😘💖

Lots of love Amanda & all our PAWS xxx

Lyndi

Lyndi ~ name meaning “soft, tender, beautiful”. Born approximately February 2019. Her siblings are Lottie, Keira, Katie, Amy & Aaron.

Lyndi with her siblings, Amy (adopted), Katie, Keira, Lottie & Aaron (male) were found as pups abandoned on waste land in the middle of nowhere by a family hiking. The little family of pups had no or very little chance of survival, no food or water. The pups were taken to 'safety' however shortly after they were put back on the street by the land owner.. the pups then came to the shelter and have been under our care ever since.

If you are interested in adopting Lyndi please contact us thank you.

Vasili

Vasili ~ born approx Sep 2018. He arrived at the shelter with his three brothers (Duke, Patch & Noel) and sister (Luz) early November 2018. He is a Greek Shepherd weighing 35 kilos. Vasili has been neutered.

Greek Shepherds need space, are naturally guardian dogs and will protect their property and family, they are hard to train and can be stubborn. Greek shepherds are also very loyal, loving & wonderful company.

Vasili is the most independent of all his siblings, he dashs for a cuddle and then he is off to play.  He is a little distant preferring his own company but loves a cuddle on his own terms at run time.

If you are interested in adopting Vasili please contact us thank you.
