Happy Birthday!

Compassion For Greek Paws is 6 today!!  🎉🎂🎈🥳💐💕

Thank you Leanda and Joanna for continuing to take care of the paws and keeping the shelter running smoothly. Thank you also to all our wonderful admins, fundraisers, supporters, sponsors, those who donate, family and friends. Thank you to all the rescue organisations who have been a tremendous blessings to us such as GAR, ARGOS, Friends Of The Strays Of Greece & Starlight Barking.

A special thank you to our amazing founder, Amanda. We love you, honour you and thank you for having the courage, compassion and commitment to start making a difference in your area and build a safe haven for the strays. To date we have homed nearly 170 dogs because of your desire to take action. Thank you for blessing us with your friendship and providing many of us with our beloved paws who have become part of our family and live in our hearts just like you do. Xxx

We have come a long way in six years and many dogs have been rescued, blessed and adopted.

Happy birthday Compassion For Greek Paws 💙🇬🇷🐾

Compassion For Greek Paws 6th Birthday 2021

Compassion For Greek Paws began six years ago today
Happy birthday, hip hip, hip hip hooray
Celebrate in style
And take awhile
To see how much has been achieved
Much more than at first perceived
Started slowly
And quite lowly
To rescuing many
Without a penny
Love in action
Gaining traction
A movement is growing
Keep on sowing
Love is a brand
That ain’t half grand
When given without measure
For nothing but sheer pleasure
Of prospering those who come into your care
Letting them know compassion isn’t rare

New Girl

This adorable friendly female dog was left abandoned at the shelter yesterday. She had her lead tied to the outside of the shelter to make sure Leanda would find her and take care of her. She appears to be in season and is full of fleas at the moment. She will be paying a visit to the vets as soon as possible.

Team Compassion

Mother and daughter, Catherine and Jessey have been visiting the shelter this week and assisting with the work. They have cleaned, fed, watered and repaired the shelter alongside Leanda. They have given the dogs lots of important cuddles and socialisation as well as taken some of them for walks. They kindly took with them a suitcase full of dog treats and toys. They wil be sorely missed when they return home in a few days time.
