Henrietta

Henrietta ~ Valentines baby born Feb 14th 2017. Henrietta is ready for adoption, she has a wonderfully loving nature she is absolutely adorable . Hens is an intelligent young female who would make a great companion in a loving home.  She is a hound mix whose mother is Beatrice and her siblings are Molly, Polly, Prince, King and Henry (adopted). Henrietta has a beautiful black shiny coat with brown flashes on her ears, sides of her neck and back of her legs. She has wonderful long ears and a stunning face. She is very loving, adores human company and loves being stroked and cuddled.

She is timid and will hide or bark at strangers until she is offered a treat and then she comes around. She is reactive to pups and small animals and will need help to learn to socialise and walk with a harness and lead. Her twin brother Henry has already found his forever home. She likes to follow you as you go about your work and watch what you are doing. She is more of a companion dog and would suit being part of a family.

Bono

Bono ~ Born approximately September 2015 Bono is a small dog with a golden coat. He has three legs, but runs like he has four! Bono has not had the greatest start in life as he was left to fend for himself as a puppy on the street. Unfortunately, he was hit by a car which resulted in him loosing his front leg. Amanda was quick to rescue him as the option of him going back on the street was non-negotiable. He is such a smily boy, loving everybody and every dog! He literally smiles when he sees you! He is like the sunshine! He loves his pack and to run with the others, and has no issue in keeping up with them, in fact, he is normally the one in front. He would be well placed in any loving home, he will bring a great blessing to your family.

If you are interested in adopting Bono, please contact us via email: compassion4greekpaws@gmail.com or via Messenger: m.me/CompassionForGreekPaws  thank you.

It's a Girl!!

Little girl born approximately 12 September 2019

Tiny pup around 4 weeks old, found by a young man yesterday evening. He kept her warm & fed until we could pick her up this morning.

I still don't know where or how he found her as by the time I picked her up he had gone to work.
As you can see although very tiny (puppy milk in picture to show size) she is eating mushed up puppy food and lapping at puppy milk. We will be off to the vet asap for a health check but for now, she is wormed & she is safe and warm.

Update: We have been to the vet, she is 1.3 kilos, is eating well, she has been wormed and had flea treatment. Vets best guess is she is 5 weeks old.

Beauty Update

This is the update from Amanda about Beauty's visit to the specialist vet yesterday.

Beauty update

I am not sure how to start this post.

Thoracolumbar syndrome is Beauty's diagnosis, prognosis not good.

Beauty has been for lots of tests today, she was terrified & it was heartbreaking to see her in such panic.

Beauty has a narrowing of the spine, just below the shoulders, this is causing paralysis of not just the hind legs but is causing difficulty in function of her front legs. You will see on the videos that her head has also started to twitch.

I cant even begin to tell you what an awful impact this has had on Beauty. Once active, happy and always waiting at the gate for run, cuddle and food time..

We are now on the list for another appointment to go back for more in-depth tests, until then Beauty has to be turned over often, she has to be kept warm and at the moment is being helped to pass water etc. We are not sure if Beauty understands her bladder needs emptying as she does try to move, this could be due to her bladder being full and uncomfortable or she actually knows she needs to go..
I am sorry for such awful news.

UPDATE Beauty has an appointment on Monday, although I am happy to get beauty the help she deserves it is so far away.. Monday seems like next year to me at the moment. Beauty has pain relief and mild anti stress meds at the moments but it's just so sad to see her so confused.
