My friend has gone ahead of me
And I am finding it so hard to
see
Through the tears that keep falling
I try but I cannot stop
bawling
Each time she comes to mind
I well up and find
I miss her
so much
And cannot get in touch
Like days of old
When we would
hold
Conversations on line
Time after time
Cannot accept she is not
there
Life is just not fair
I want her back
Leader of the
pack
To see her face again
And not be in this pain
To hear her
sound
To know that she was still around
How I wish I could turn back
time.

FITTING GOODBYE TO OUR GIRL
Amanda’s husband Aristo is not on social media
so today asked us to send a message for him
He is so grateful and
overwhelmed with all the wonderful, caring tributes that have been sent for his
darling wife Amanda. He thanks you all and is so touched by your
kindness.
She unfortunately suffered a brain aneurism.
Her final send
off would have warmed her heart completely. Aristo knew the only placed she
would want to be was the shelter. So he took their mum up to them and allowed
her and her babies to say goodbye one last time. They knew.
He then took
her to her dogs at home where Maya could be with her mum and outside as always,
her loyal best friend Koritsi Mou with the cats were waiting for her.
They
knew.
She looked so peaceful with a smile on her face and Aristo put
beautiful flowers around her head. Lianta sneaked in some chocolate and if we
could of found a tin of Heinz tomato soup it would have been
complete.
Aristo has laid his girl to rest, she is at peace. He gave her
the opportunity to say farewell to her most precious babies and them her. She
wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
Farewell our girl, your light
shines on and we will do everything to keep your legacy going and to grow in the
way you planned.
Love you forever, sleep tight xxxx

Alitis
Street dog Alitis has joined Compassion For Greek Paws. His friend Jack has already been reserved. He was born approx April 2019. He was found as a young male dog living on the streets, he is now in basic training in kennels as the shelter has no room. Alitis is very friendly, was great with the other street dogs and cats plus a tiny kitten. When Alitis finishes his training (report is great, he is smart and likes to learn) he is again homeless as the shelter is more than full. We need a foster or wonderful, loving forever home for this sweet, funny boy.
Ready for adoption end of Oct 2020.
If you are interested in adopting Alitis please contact the shelter, thank you.
