Precious Percy

Siblings Percy & Bonnie were found 8 June 2020 thought to be around 14 weeks old so born end Feb/beg Mar 2020. Percy was abandoned with his sister Bonnie by the deer pen which is next to the shelter. Percy is estimated to be a large dog when fully grown possibly around 30 - 40kg.

Although a potential Greek Shepherd mix, Percy is showing no signs of guarding, he is super sweet and very sociable. He loves run time saying hi to all the shelter dogs before running back for a cuddle and food. When they come in off the street they are usually fine with cats

Percy is lovable, sociable pup who is good with adults & fine with children. He loves to play with the other pups and dogs. He enjoys run time when he is out of his pen and always pops back to say hello in between. He is alert and should train well. Percy is good with his food and love to play with toys.

It would be amazing for Percy to have the chance of a loving forever home whilst he is still a pup and not have to grow up in a shelter. Please consider if this loving pup would make your family complete. Thank you for considering Percy.

Greek Shepherds are known for their loyalty, adoration and cuddly nature. However, they also are known to possibly have a ‘guarding instinct’. They were originally bred over the generations to guard herds of cattle and sheep from predators. Therefore, please be fully aware of this potential guarding trait that could be demonstrated as they get older. It is essential that you agree to training as soon as they are settled and inform us of the training school you intend to use. We recommend you become aware of what ‘guarding’ can look like in its early stages and require you to seek professional support if you notice it is being displayed. Not all Greek shepherd mix display guarding behaviour but if you notice it is early on, you can get the necessary support to prevent it. Thank you

If you are interested in adopting Percy please contact the shelter either via email: compassion4greekpaws@gmail.com or via Messenger: m.me/CompassionForGreekPaws thank you.
