Would you become a friend of a shelter this summer? Many
of you have been helping a long while and the shelter volunteers send
you an enormous thank you. We couldn’t have got this far without you.
But with more of your own friends getting involved we could be making a
massive difference. Tomorrow we finally officially launch:
Please, please tell all your friends about the website and sign-up to
the newsletter there. Wherever you are travelling there will be a
shelter nearby who could do with some help. We want more holidaymakers
to find out how they can do that. Just giving up one morning of your
holiday will not only help socialise the dogs but lift the spirits of
these wonderful local volunteers who are all truly struggling in
atrocious conditions.
Little video below is when one of my oldest
school friends came to walk the dogs at the Lemnos Shelter last summer.
They quickly got over the shock and their hearts went out to all the
really beautiful dogs who are kept in little prisons 24/7 and if it
weren’t for Fotini and her amazing small team their poor sad lives would
be unbearable.
